----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[1] Formula Synchron Eff & Trishula

When the effect of Formula Synchron is activated during your opponent's turn, so long as Formula Synchron was Chain Link 1, the effect of Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Black Rose Dragon may be activated.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[2] Spore vs Effect Veiler

When the effect of Spore is activated, removing Lonefire Blossom, Spore's level is increased to 4 and it is summoned to the field. If Effect Veiler or Skill Drain is active, affecting Spore, Spore's level will NOT be decreased to 1 and will remain at whatever level it was.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[3] Synchro Summoning and Token creation (Dandy/Doppelwarrior)

The effect of Dandylion is mandatory, and is triggered when it is sent from the field to the Graveyard.

The effect of Doppelwarrior is optional, and is triggered upon the successful Synchro Summon of a monster using it as a Synchro Material.

The effect of Black Rose Dragon is optional, and is triggered upon successfully being Synchro Summoned.

The effect of Junk Warrior is mandatory, and is triggered upon successfully being Synchro Summoned.

The effect of Mist Wurm is mandatory, and is triggered upon successfully being Synchro Summoned.

A) Dandylion and Black Rose Dragon

When Dandylion is used as Synchro Material for Black Rose Dragon, upon the successful Synchro Summon of Black Rose Dragon, Dandylion will be chain link 1 as it has a mandatory trigger effect. The effect of Black Rose Dragon (if activated) will be chain link 2.

B) Doppelwarrior and Junk Warrior

When Doppelwarrior is used as Synchro Material for Junk Warrior, upon the successful Synchro Summon of Junk Warrior, Junk Warrior will be chain link 1 as it has a mandatory trigger effect. The effect of Doppelwarrior (if activated) will be chain link 2.

C) Doppelwarrior and Black Rose Dragon

When Doppelwarrior is used as Synchro Material for Black Rose Dragon, upon the successful Synchro Summon of Black Rose Dragon, the two effects may be added to the chain in whichever order the controller chooses, since they are both optional trigger effects triggered and activating at the same time.

D) Dandylion and Mist Wurm [TCG RULING ONLY]

When Dandylion is used as Synchro Material for Mist Wurm, upon the successful Synchro Summon of Mist Wurm, Dandylion will activate as chain link 1, while Mist Wurm will activate as chain link 2. This is because the trigger effect of Dandylion was triggered first, and will activate first. The controlling player does not have a choice of placing Mist Wurm as chain link 1.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[4] Mechanics of Thunder King Rai-Oh's Summon Negation Effect

Thunder King Rai-Oh's effect to negate a Special Summon can only be activated on a built-in (or inherent) Special Summon. The effect of Thunder King Rai-Oh must be chain link 1, it can never be chain link 2 or higher.

Some things Rai-Oh can negate the Summon of:

Dark Armed Dragon
Judgment Dragon
Machina Fortress
Cyber Dragon
Quickdraw Synchron
Any Synchro Summon
Any XYZ Summon
A "Contact Fusion" (Chimeratech Fortress Dragon or Gladiator Beast Fusions)

Some things Rai-Oh CANNOT negate:

Monster Reborn
Call of the Haunted
Stardust Dragon coming back at End Phase
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner
Ally Genex Birdman
Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite
Any Ritual Summon
Miracle Fusion
Formula Synchron's effect

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[5] Royal Oppression Multiple Activations in One Chain

Royal Oppressions effect can be activated more than once per chain if it was ALREADY face-up before the chain STARTED. If Royal Oppression was face-down, and is activated in a chain, its effect CANNOT be activated again later in that chain. Once it has already resolved face-up on the field, its effect may be used multiple times during any following chains.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[6] Stardust Dragon vs Snipe Hunter

The effect of Stardust Dragon cannot be activated in response to Snipe Hunter because it is uncertain if it will actually destroy a card on the field upon resolution.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[7] XX-Saber Darksoul Mechanics vs T.G. Search Mechanics

Darksoul and T.G. monsters search effects are applied in two completely different ways.

Darksoul's effect is triggered when is it sent to the graveyard, and activates at that time as well. In the case of a Synchro Summon using Darksoul, Darksoul will activate after the Synchro Summon is successful (or not) as chain link 1. During the End Phase of that turn, the owner of Darksoul may search their Deck for an X-Saber monster. Doing this does not start a chain, and is completely optional. If a single Darksoul is activated and is removed from the Graveyard, and sent back to the Graveyard from the field, it will activate again. You may then search twice during your End Phase. Removing Darksoul from the graveyard once its effect has been resolved will not prevent the searches during the End Phase. Darksoul is the exception, not the norm.

T.G. monster's effects to search activates DURING the End Phase of a turn that they were destroyed on the field (face-up or face-down) and sent to the Graveyard, so long as they have not left the Graveyard since that occurred. This means that, if a T.G. Warwolf etc. was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, but is removed from the Graveyard before the End Phase, its effect will NOT activate. This also means that, a single T.G. will NOT search more than once per turn if sent to the Graveyard multiple times BEFORE the end phase.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[8] Battle Phase: Mirror Force vs Solemn Judgment etc. Mechanics & Replays

When a player declares an attack, and the opponent activates Mirror Force, but the Mirror Force is negated by Solemn Judgment etc., the opponent may no longer activate Dimensional Prison on this same attack. They may still activate cards which don't have the specific timing of responding to an attack, like Book of Moon. There may only be one chain in response to the attack declaration, once this chain is ended, another chain may not be started that is in response to the attack. Suppose your Mirror Force is negated by Solemn Judgment, and you still wish to respond before the attack goes through. You could not activate:

Dimensional Prison
Sakuretsu Armor
XX-Saber Fulhelmknight's Negation Effect
Battle Fader

However, you could still activate:

Book of Moon
Enemy Controller
Phoenix Wing Wind Blast

In these cases, suppose you activate Book of Moon, but it is negated as well. When that chain ends, you may start up a new chain with Enemy Controller, or any other applicable cards. There can be an infinite number of chains so long as there are legal cards to activate at this point. However, the timing for Dimensional Prison etc. does not occur again and cannot be activated until the next attack declaration.

A replay occurs when the number of monsters on the non-turn player's side of the field changes after the attack declaration, but BEFORE the Damage Step. When this happens, the attacking monster can then attack another monster on the field, or choose to not continue the attack. When the new attack target is selected, cards like Mirror Force etc. CANNOT be activated. This is NOT declaring a new attack. If you had Dark Elf or Mist Valley Falcon, you do NOT apply their effects AGAIN upon selecting the new attack target in a replay.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[9] Blackwing - Zephyros & Ally Genex Birdman Returning

Both Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite and Ally Genex Birdman have the cost of returning a face-up card from your field to your hand. (specifically a monster in the case of Birdman) Since it is a cost and it specifies that it is to return to the hand, the card you want to return MUST reach the hand in order for the effect to be possible. The following cards cannot be added to the hand and thus cannot be used as the cost for Birdman or Zephyros:

Synchro Monsters
Fusion Monsters
Xyz Monsters
An Ally Genex Birdman summoned to the field with its effect
A Plaguespreader Zombie summoned to the field with its effect

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[10] Effect Veiler vs Lonefire Blossom

When the effect of Effect Veiler is applied to Lonefire Blossom, and the effects of Lonefire Blossom is activated, the effect of Lonefire Blossom will be negated regardless of whether it tributed itself or another monster. However, if Lonefire Blossom's effect is activated prior to Effect Veiler, tributing itself, an Effect Veiler CANNOT be chained attempting to target/negate the Lonefire Blossom as it is no longer face-up on the field.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[11] Debris Dragon vs Lonefire Blossom

When Debris Dragon's effect summons Lonefire Blossom from the Graveyard, the Lonefire Blossom's effect is negated if activated, even if the Lonefire Blossom was tributed as is no longer on the field at resolution. However, if the Lonefire Blossom was flipped face-down by Book of Moon, and flipped back face-up THEN activated, the effect of Lonefire Blossom would be applied. In contrast, if Lonefire Blossom, just summoned from Debris Dragon, activates its effect, tributing another Plant-type monster on your field, and Book of Moon is chained on the Lonefire Blossom, Lonefire Blossom's effect will STILL be negated.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

[12] Gozen Match/Rivalry of Warlords and Legal Actions

Suppose you control a face-up Gladiator Beast Equeste (WIND), while Gozen Match is active. So long as you control the face-up Gladiator Beast Equeste..You can:

Normal Summon another WIND Attribute monster
Set ANY Attribute monster so long as its able to be Set normally
Synchro Summon with another WIND Attribute tuner into a WIND Attribute Synchro (such as Stardust Dragon)
Fusion Summon a WIND Attribute Fusion Monster (such as Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste)
Ritual Summon a WIND Attribute Ritual Monster
Tribute Summon a WIND Attribute monster
Activate and apply the effects of Mind Control, Enemy Controller's 2nd effect, Puppet Plant, etc. even if the target is not WIND (even if you still control the face-up Gladiator Beast Equeste). The target will switch to your field and be immediately sent to the Graveyard.
Activate and apply the effect of Gladiator Beast Equeste to Special Summon another Gladiator Beast, so long as there is a legal WIND Attribute monster that you can summon, like Gladiator Beast Bestiari, still in your Deck. In this case, if, during resolution, you control no face-up monsters, you may Special Summon a Gladiator Beast of another Attribute. If you control another WIND Attribute monsters, you must Special Summon a WIND Attribute Gladiator Beast besides Gladiator Beast Equeste. (by its own effect)

And you cannot:

Normal Summon a non-WIND Attribute monster
Synchro Summon with another WIND Attribute tuner into a non-WIND Attribute Synchro, (such as Scrap Dragon) EVEN if all face-up monsters on your field would be used as Synchro Material.
Fusion Summon a non-WIND Attribute Fusion
Ritual Summon a non-WIND Attribute Ritual Monster
"Contact Fusion" into a non-WIND Attribute Fusion monster, EVEN if all face-up monsters on your field would be used in this procedure. This applies to Chimeratech Fortress Dragon (with regards to Cyber Dragon) as well as the Gladiator Beast Fusion Monsters (in regards to Gladiator Beasts).
Tribute Summon a non-WIND monster even if you would tribute your only face-up monster
